Chủ đề Speaking Khẩu ngữ Tiếng Anh cao cấp 2

    Học viên có khoảng 5 phút để chuẩn bị và 1 tới 2 phút để nói về chủ đề lựa chọn. Sau đó giáo viên sẽ hỏi học viên một số câu hỏi liên quan đến chủ đề đó.

    1.AIRPLANE

    1. What are some advantages of travelling by airplane?
    – Travelling by airplane is faster and safer than any vehicles else. Best for long distances. Service is good .
    2. What are some disadvantages of travelling by airplane?
    – Travelling by airplane is expensive  And less choice of routes
    3. Do you think airplane is the most important transport means of all time? Why/ why not?
    – No, I don’t think so. I think every means of transport has its value. For example bikes, cars, trains…I think they are equally important.
    4. What are some ways that airlines could improve the flying experience for passengers?
    – Survey of customer satisfaction, always listen and try to satisfy them; Giving customers a small gifts after fly.
    5. Do you think that airlines will replace most of other means of transport in the future?
    – No, I don’t think so. We move and travel more in modern life but every means of transport has its value. Cars or bikes are more convenient when travelling in short distance.

    2. COLOUR 

    1. What is your favourite clour ? Why?
    My favourite colour is blue and white. I like blue and white because it looks cool and friendly. I also feel easy to color when wearing clothes
    2. Which  colours  do you normally wear? Why?
    As I say before. I like blue and white and often wear it. I seem to look slimmer when I wear black, and another thing is that blue and white clothes are easier to wash.
    3. Do you think colors affect your mood?
    Yes, I do. Although I like blue and white, I sometimes wear bright colours such as pink, purple, yellow…they make me feel younger and positive. specially young people.
    4. Do you think different cultures have different meanings for colors?
    Yes, I think so. For example in Asia countries like China, Vietnam… Red is symbolizes happiness, good luck, … but in South Africa, red represents death and war..
    5. What colors are on your national flag?
    The national flag of Vietnam has 2 colours: red and yellow. The red background symbolizes revolution and bloodshed. The golden star represents the five main classes in Vietnamese society — intellectuals, farmers, workers, entrepreneurs, and soldiers.

    3. CRIME ( TỘI PHẠM)

    1. What do you think are the causes of crime?
    In a developed society, there is always good and bad. Some causes lead to crime such as: Lack of jobs, drugs, Sonegative influence from the media…
    2. Do DVDs and TV programmes about violent crime help to cause more crime? Why?/ Why not?
    Sometimes, I think. Crime images and videos may be viewed and imitated by some. Of course this is caused by lack of education, psychological instability or some other negative causes…
    3. Is prison really the answer to crime? Why?
    Yes, sure. Every mistake has its price. Every criminal needs to have a suitable punishment
    4. Are there any other ways to deal with people who commit a crime?
    Every individual person need to be responsible for their own safety and making wise choices. Everyone should learn to defend themselves.
    5. What should the government do to reduce the crime?
    Increase education for people about crime. Disseminate information about the harmful effects of drug use. Ensure social security and equity.

    4. ENGLISH

    1. Do you like learning English? Why/ why not?
    Yes, I do. I like learning English. I allway used for may job
    2. How often do you learn English?
    Frequently. I learn English by watching movies, watching news or read book.
    3. What should you do to learn English better?
    I try to use English all the time. White I do my work and often listen to English music so that I can improve my listening skills.
    4. Do you think Vietnamese people are good at learning English? Why/Why not?
    Yes, I do. I think Vietnamese people are good at English. Because both English and Vietnamese use the Alphabet system.
    5. Why is it important to learn English?
    English is the most widely spoken language in the world, it’s the official language of 53 countries in the world,…So many important reasons to learn English.

    5.EXAMINATIONS ( BÀI KIỂM TRA)

    1. What are some benefits of examinations?
    – They are conducted to inform and improve learning and also it provides teachers with students background and learning styles to assess and see how learning could be lifted.
    Exams promote competition among students. They work harder to improve their knowledge and skills. In this way they learn more.
    2. What are some downsides of examinations?
    I think it’s the pressure of exams on students. especially the expectation on the score greatly affects the psychology of students.
    3. Do you think that students nowadays have to do too many examinations?
    Yes, I do. Such as my son, he is in grade 3 now but he has one exam a month. I don’t think it’s necessary to give students so many examinations.
    4. Do you think that examinations will disappear in the future?
    Maybe. When we have a much more modern education. when students’ actual knowledge is more important than scores
    5. What are some other ways to encourage students to study?
    In my opinion,  to encourage students to study, we need to ask them about their goals, their dreams in the future. Listen to them and give them some advices, methods… so that they can achieve their goals themselves.

    6. LEARNING A NEW LANGUAGE

    1. Why is it important for people to learn a new language?
    In 2020s, international intergration is becoming more and more important. And  forein language is necessary tool for us, especialy English
    2. Do you think language and culture are inseparable?
    Yes, I do. Culture and language are inextricably linked. You interact with the culture of the language’s speaker when you communicate in their language.
    3. What would you introduce first to foreign learners when teaching them Vietnamese?
    I would tell them Vietnamese is a difficult language to learn, but it is also interesting and beautiful.
    4. What are some good ways for people to learn a new language?
    Communicating with native speakers is the best way to learn their language. Besides, you can watch movies, listen to music and try to understand them.
    5. Do you think Vietnamese people are good at learning a new language?
    Yes, I do. Vietnamese people are very intelligent and hard working. So, I think it’s not difficult for us to learn a new language.

    7. LEARNING

    1. What’s your favourite subject?
    My favourite subject is English.
    2. Do you have any learning difficulty?
    Yes, of course. When I started learning English, it was very hard for me to retain new vocabularies and pronounce them.
    3. Are you good at learning new things?
    Not really. I love learning new things, Becouse My work is busy
    4. What good and bad experiences have you had learning English?
    I have 3 years working with foreign experts, so I have trained many skills.
    At first, I didn’t understand what they were saying.

    – No, the more I learn, the more I understand

    Of course, I often invite friends and relatives to socialize on my birthday

    The birthday which I remember the most is “18th birthday”. It was the first time at university,  I had a small party with  my roommate.

    You can save time,  have a wider selection of products at lower prices and don’t have to go out to buy things.
    2. What are some disadvantages of online shopping?
    I think some disadvantages of online shopping are: Product quality; Fraud cases; late deliveries; not good for environment…
    3. Do you think that online shopping will be more popular in the future? Why?/Why not?
    Yes, I think so. With the development of modern life, everybody has their own phone, people can buy anything with only a “click”, no need to go out, have a wider selection of products at lower prices..
    4. How can people do to reduce the risks of online shopping?
    People should spend time researching for trustworthy (tin cậy) online shopping channel, and
    caring more about insurance policy..
    5. Do you think shopping in the traditional way will disappear in the future?
    No, I don’t think so. Shopping in the traditional way will never disappear. It will exist alongside online shopping.

    10. OPPORTUNITIES ( CƠ HỘI)

    1. Have you made any important decisions recently?
    Yes, I have. I have just decided to real estate (bất động sản) investment (đầu tư ). I still want to test my ability to grasp and observe the real estate markets.
    2. Should you always take the opportunities ?
    Not totally. I have many different opportunities in my life. I’ve taken some and missed some. But being able to take advantage of as many opportunities as possible is important.
    3. Which job do you do now or plan to do in the future?
    My job is trading in telecommunications and information technology services, one of   VNPT Group

    I provide mobile services (vinaphone), fiber optic internet, IP TV and software (

    Yes, I went through 3 interviews, when I graduated (tốt nghiệp) from university.

    11. PERFORMANCE ( BUỔI BIỂU DIỄN)

    1. How often do you go to concerts, shows or the theatre?
    Not often. I only go to concerts, shows or the theatre on special event.
    2. What are your favourite type of events?
    My most favorite events are music festivals. I like the bustling atmosphere ( không khí nhộn nhịp), there I meet a lot of young people and I feel young again.
    3. What traditional events in your country or region do you ẹnjoy?
    On special occasions or celebrating traditional dates. In my country, there are often live music festivals. These programs are often broadcast live on TV and the content is very humane and meaningful.
    4. Do you like taking part in performances or do you prefer being in the audience?
    I like taking part in performances. Sometimes I also want to be on stage, to express myself in front of thousands of people. I want to know how I would feel when I were a famous person.
    5. Have you ever played a musical instrument? Which instrument?  When?
    Yes, I have. I can play guitar a little bit. I often sing alone with my guitar when I am sad or have bad mood. It makes me feel much more comfortable.

    12. PUNISHMENT BY TEACHERS AT SCHOOL (HÌNH PHẠT)

    1. Why is punishment by teachers at school good for students?
    Punishment in the classroom is a means to help control the environment so that those students who wish to do well in school have the opportunity to do so in a classroom that is effective for learning. Punishment techniques help keep the environment quiet and professional to enhance studies.
    2. Do you think punishment by teachers to students at school should be encouraged?
    Yes, I do. To manage those students, school needs rules and for students who follow the rules, school needs punishment to make them obey the rules.
    3. Do all the students obey their teachers whenever they receive punishment?
    Of course not. There are many kind of students. Some are nice and good, some of them like to socialize, some of them like to dominate the others, some of them are very ambitious, some of them don’t care about anything and some of them are rebellious
    4. What are the downsides of overuse of punishment at school?
    Corporal (thể xác) punishments has increased nowadays. This hinders the psychological, physical and mental growth of the children.
    Due to punishment a sense of fear is created among children.
    5. What are some other ways to make students work hard?
    Talk and listen to them. Teacher need to talk to able to understand them, encourage ( khuyến khích) them and give them some advice when needed.

    13. SOLUTIONS TO IMPROVING (CẢI THIỆN) EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM IN YOUR COUNTRY

    1. What are some solutions to improving educational system in your country
    We need to improve the quality of teachers in schools and educational institutions (cơ sở). Eliminate the achievement disease in education, ensure real teaching, real grades, real quality.
    2. Is a good education more important to a boy or a girl? Why?
    All genders (giới tính) is equal, a boy or a girl needs good education equally.
    3. Do you think schools should teach subjects like arts, music and dancing? Why (not)?
    Yes, schools should diversify (đa dạng hóa) subjects. Gifted (nămg khiếu) subjects will help students develop soft skills.
    Vâng, các trường nên đa dạng hóa các môn học. Các môn năng khiếu sẽ giúp học sinh phát triển các kỹ năng mềm.
    4. Is the Internet a valuable education tool?
    Yes, sure. Internet provides a free and wide source of information.
    5. How does the internet change the way of teaching?
    Teaching with internet should focus on self-learning of students, and teachers have a really useful tool to help their teaching more effectively.
    Dạy học qua internet cần chú trọng đến tính tự học của học sinh, giáo viên có một công cụ thực sự hữu ích giúp việc dạy học hiệu quả hơn.

    14. STRESSFUL THINGS IN LIFE (  NHỮNG ĐIỀU CĂNG THẲNG TRONG CUỘC SỐNG)

    Some stressful in modern life such as: The death of a loved one; Divorce (ly hôn); Loss of a job; Increase in financial obligations; Getting married…
    2. What do you think is the best way to deal (đối phó) with stress?
    Always be positive (tích cực). Everything happens for a reason (lý do). Face it and accept it in the most positive way.
    3. Do you think life was easier in the past? Why?
    Yes, I do. As life progresses, we are under more and more pressure. Environmental pollution causes more diseases (bệnh tật) such as cancer (ung thư)… Expensive living standards require people to have higher income sources.
    4. Do you think people should take regular (nghỉ giải lao) break during working hours? Why?
    Yes, I do. Our body needs rest after hard work. We can spend a few minutes walking, listening to a favorite song or taking a nap…
    5. What can the company owners do to reduce stress for their employees?
    Improve the working environment. Timely reward individuals with outstanding achievements (short vacation, small party…)..

    15. TECHNOLOGY

    1. Is technology important nowaday?
    Yes, of course. It’s very important.

    Owing to technology, businesses grew. Technology has changed the way people communicate. we can stay connected. Technology has brought advancements in agriculture, has boosted every industry. It has changed every sector…

    Yes, there are. We can talk about the disadvantages of technology like: damage to the environment; technology addiction  (nghiện); Solitude and social isolation troubles…

    Yes, I do. I use technology every day. Such as: using phone to communicate with friends and relatives; using internet to find information and work online…

    Very different. Technology is changing day by day. It’s now getting more and more modern, more advanced and much cheaper.

    16. TOURISM DEVELOPMENT

    Tourism development brings many benefits, such as economic development and cultural promotion.
    2. What are some disadvantages of tourism development?
    Tourism development may have some potential risk (rủi ro), such as increased pollution (ô nhiễm) and put danger to species.
    3. Why do you think people like to travel to different places in their free time?
    Because they want to have new experience about different places, enjoy different traditional foods and learn new cultures…

    1. Why are traditional festivals important?
    Every country has its own culture, creating its own identity. Traditional festivals connect us as a people of a nation. They bring people together, and allow us to enjoy time with family and friends. Festivals can also be a time for reflection and giving thanks.
    2. What local festival in your area or country would be most interesting for a foreign guest
    I think it’s Lunar New Year (Tet nguyen đán). It’s a special occasion with many special activities.
    3. Do festivals belong to culture?
    Yes, of course. It’s one part of national culture.
    4. Do people nowadays appreciate public holidays like they did in the past?
    I don’t think so. In modern life, people are very busy with work and pressure. Sometimes they seem to have no time to join and enjoy holidays like before.

    Government should focus more on educate the young generation to love the
    traditional values and knowing how to preserve them.

    10 hings I would bring are:
    – A tent ( lều); Some foods and drinks; Suitable clothes; Toilet paper; phone; flásh light; knife; map, fire; sleeping bag;

    19. WATER

    1. Do you know how much water do you use everyday?
    I can’t tell exactly but I think about 2-3 liters a day.
    2. Do you enjoy swimming?
    Yes, I do. I love swimming very much. I like to soak in the cool water after a long day working. My body feels relaxed, I often think about nothing while swimming, just  simply enjoy my own time.
    3. Do you try to save water at home? How? Why
    Yes, I do. I do know that Water resources are limited. We need to save water. I often use washing water to water plants, turn off the faucet when not in use…
    4. Should we take showers instead of baths?
    Yes. If possible, take a shower instead of a bath. A five-minute shower uses about 40 liters of water. This is about half the volume of a standard bath.
    5. Should outdoor drinking fountains be turned off?
    I think it’s necessary to turn off drinking fountains. I think they are not safe for children and wastes water.

    20.  WELLBEING

    1. What are the traditional dishes of your country or region?
    In my country, the traditional dishes is Pho. It is a delicious dishes with noodles
    and bone and meat broth.
    2. Do you think it is important to maintain the traditional dishes of a country?
    Yes, maintaining the traditional dishes of a country is maintaining national
    pride and cultural identity.
    3. Is your lifestyle very different to that of your parents’ generation? In what way (s)?
    My lifestyle is different to that of our parents’ generation, but it is not in the
    bad way. We are more sympathy and empathetic to others.
    4. What are the risks of not getting enough sleep?
    Not getting enough sleep causes stress, which affect body and brain function. It causes many troubles of our health as well.
    5. Do you think caffeine is harmful or beneficial?
    Caffeine has it’s benefit if we not overusing. Such as focus and conscious.
